Um, Yum? Anyone?

I had the most amazing hot beverage today from a quaint cafe on campus.

They call it the Bacio...
Which I had to get help pronouncing.
/bat∫əoʊ/ for those of you who, like me, get to learn IPA and then get a rather long exam on it tomorrow. (FREAKOUT! Going back to the library after dinner to keep studying. Not sure what this ''keep' is, it's not like I've really started!)

It was amazing!
Some concoction of Italian hot chocolate, with a shot of espresso, and delicious hazelnut syrup through it.
I think I'll be getting addicted to this one, and fast!
Which is sad, because Mama Dukes don't 'do' names on cups... but they do have ripple wrap!
Ripple wrap seriously makes my day. If I get one tomorrow (likely!) and don't forget (unlikely!), I'll take a photo of it to show you all.

Then you'll know how absolutely mediocre my life is at the moment.

"Ohhh, dear. That's ripple wrap?" You'll say,
"Yes!!" I'll reply. And then I will smile.

Big.

Because saying
ripple wrap!
out loud is fun.
Like
pop!
and
wallet!.

Try it! And smile. :)

"Keep smiling, it makes others wonder what you're up to..."

Not a coffee cup.

But a sticker.
A sticker with my name printed out perfectly.
And a smile, just to top it off.

I knew volunteering with the language centre would pay off.
Hello, sticker I will probably keep, look at and smile with all year.

:)

The most central table in the room.

That's where we sat! Right between the computers, the bookshelves, and the other students studying their be-hinds off before exams start next week.

Sat there, did we, my latte and me.
(Grammatically incorrect, yes, but it flows nicely.)

And that, dear followers of the blog that not-too-much-happens-on, is why this photo of the incorrect spelling of my name on the bottom of a takeaway coffee cup is the most blurry yet. Because you bet, soon as I whipped out my phone to take a photo of the wrong-spelling, all eyes were on me. So it was a quick shoot-it-and-pretend-you-are-actually-writing-a-text-message-with-your-latte-perched-in-a-rather-awkward-way-in-your-other-hand.

At least this girl can spell the wrong spelling right though, right?

And, oh! Would you like to learn about Freud and his psychodynamic theories on personality? Perhaps you can just make it out beneath the blur..
No? Not up for that tonight? That's okay- me either. I'm going to bed now instead!

G'night all! :)

You'll Never Believe..

I got a coffee yesterday. Weeee.
Mother believes its why I didn't get to sleep until 2 am, and woke up at only 5.30.

That's not what you wouldn't believe.
But by all means, don't believe it if you wish, I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but I got chamomile tea today just in case.

When I got my coffee, which was some strange new Gloria Jeans concoction they're calling almond & honey latte (which happens to be my favourite flavour at the moment- can't say the latte tasted anything like almonds or honey though, just rather sugary milky coffee) they spelt my name wrong on the screen!

I KNOW!!!

It was spelt Rebeca.
Strange people.

I would have taken a photo but I had to hurry off to the language centre for some 'briefing session' for a volunteer project, which really sounds much fancier than it really was.

But it's true.
It really happened.
It did indeed.

And that image is absolutely taken from the GJs website. Like I said; Very busy. :)

Today...

Today I bought marshmallows.
To put in my hot chocolates.
Maybe the wisest $2.50 I've ever spent.

Hmmm...

I'm not even entirely sure how to interpret this one!
Rebeca?
I think it might be a case of the old, 'oh I'm too lazy to really properly finish off that c and a that aren't even necessary on this particular coffee cup because clearly she's a Rebekah and not a Rebecca, but I'll kind of only half do the last two (wrong) letters anyway'.
Her exact thought process, perhaps?
:)
